The Department primarily focuses on the development and implementation of expressive (performance) therapy in the education and care of persons with health disability, and on the development of theoretical and methodological (research) aspects of expressive therapy disciplines in the area of special education. These include especially the following therapeutic-formative processes:
• Drama therapy and theatre therapy
• Art therapy
• Music therapy
• Dance and movement therapy
• Bibliotherapy and poetry therapy
The Department also focuses on the development of personality and social competences of the so-called helping professions.
